An evening at the garden celebrating the start of the summer growing season, the spirit of community & the screening of the OBCG documentary!

Throughout the evening, OBCG garden members and a variety of community members enjoyed:

• live music by Benito (accordion) and Fania & Estelle on violin

• conversation with wonderful people and yummy food

• two guest speakers: Janice DuVall, born and raised in Ocean Beach and Board Member at People’s Co-op and Stephanie Mood, one of the original members of the Ocean Beach Community Garden

• hearing from the 2022 OBCG scholarship recipient: Jackie I. from Point Loma High School (thank you to anonymous community donor for generously supporting youth programs at OBCG with an anonymous donation) and Fania V., the OBCG Club organizer and primary fresh veggie donor to Loaves and Fishes in OB
